Redesign of a historic city avenue
Project
New lighting for Les Allées de Neuilly
Neuilly sur Seine, France
Neuilly sur Seine is a prosperous neighborhood in the west of Paris with around 60,000 residents. Les Allées de Neuilly covers 10 hectares of public spaces in the heart of the historic axis planned by André Le Nôtre.
The project, led by the Ilex Paysage et Urbanisme team, aims to revitalize one of the most significant urban landscapes while addressing modern challenges like traffic calming and shared use of public space. The lighting aspect of the renovation features Lif Tritec Sextuples modules from Selux.
At dusk, the avenue bursts with activity. The play of light from the Arc de Triomphe and the La Défense skyscrapers reshapes the surroundings, complemented by the glow of car headlights. Street furniture is minimalistic, allowing the light to illuminate the trees and relaxation areas with a gentle warmth. Uniform lighting on the road enhances visibility and comfort, while taller installations, reaching up to 12 meters, provide ample light on esplanades and squares, reducing dark spots.
As a modular luminaire, the Lif luminaire offers complete freedom for the creation of specific lighting in urban spaces. Its adaptability makes it suitable for various urban lighting needs, making it an ideal choice for the project.
