Sustainable, climate-neutral solar lighting for the "Green Way" on the Gagnières River
Project
Gagnières solar project
Gagnières, France
Gagnière is a small French commune in the south-east of France in the Gard department, on the border with the Ardèche. With beautiful natural landscapes, located at the foot of the Cévennes in the valley of the river Ganière, the village is oriented towards green tourism.
In 2021, the Cèze-Cévennes Municipal Association began a plan to gently transform the old railway line from the border with the Ardèche department to the centre of the village of Gagnières, with a view to enhancing its heritage. Two kilometres of the railway tracks were transformed into a green path and an access road to the "Sainte Barbe" sports complex was created.
The greenway, used by tourists, is also part of a cycling project and is so attractive that this radiates to the surrounding communities. Crafts, trade and tourism benefit from the economic upswing.
In the spirit of sustainability and environmental protection, the community association has opted for solar lighting. The autonomous Anatar solar luminaires are the answer to ecological and aesthetic questions. Thanks to their cylindrical solar modules, Anatar luminaires blend in perfectly with their surroundings. Thanks to their wireless installation, they are easy to install while protecting sensitive natural spaces. The six-metre-high, single- and double-armed light poles illuminate the cycle path and footpath completely climate-neutrally from sunlight: when dusk falls, the solar pole luminaires switch to light mode and back to charge mode at sunrise.
