Solar lighting of the Rhine promenade with Valetta
Project
Illumination of the Rhine promenade
Bad Honnef, Germany
Simply generate your own energy and illuminate independently of the power grid: Selux solar lights protect the environment and conserve resources.
In the "Rhenish Nice", as Bad Honnef is sometimes called due to its mild climate all year round, Valetta brings atmosphere to the Rhine promenade with warm white light. They illuminate the walkway as required thanks to motion sensors and tracking light. However, the luminaires can not only be intelligently controlled. They generate their electricity emission-free and protect the night sky thanks to their precise optics, which do not allow any disturbing stray light. Energy costs are eliminated. This makes the use of solar lights both sustainable and economical.
Valetta is available in three different sizes. The solar luminaires on the Rhine promenade in Bad Honnef belong to the Valetta M version and illuminate the sidewalk at a distance of 37.5 meters in a light color of 2,200 Kelvin. Their surface is coated with a special color and has anti-graffiti protection. As the solar luminaires are installed without the need for complex cable work, they are particularly suitable for cycle paths and footpaths, parks or other environments that are sensitive to interference.
Background
Valetta solar light has intelligent control for light and battery. The integrated controller connects the light, solar panel and battery pack. An algorithm ensures optimal energy management so that enough energy is available even in the months with less sunlight.
