A place for relaxation, activity and socializing has been created in the center of Kävlinge. The municipality in the south of Sweden has gained an attractive destination with Kaptenens Park. Where once there were a few trees in an open space in the center of the town, today the newly created park offers something for everyone. In addition to the diverse planting, a new playground with large climbing blocks, a gravel area for boules, and grassy areas for ball games or picnics invite young and old to linger.

To ensure that the park can be used in all seasons and at any time of day, special attention was paid to the lighting. Lighting designer Frida Öster of Lightwise planned luminaires on wooden poles with Olivio. Olivio Wood poles use high-quality, robust pine wood from sustainably managed forests. The poles get their lasting beauty from a special weatherproof glaze, with a choice of six different shades.

In Kaptenens Park, the wooden poles were finished with the special color Alizé Organic, and the luminaire heads were designed in a matte black. The project was implemented with seven Olivio Wood poles from the Floracion design line. A total of 21 Olivio Medio luminaire heads provide a beautiful and safe environment. Having a CityTouch Connector Kit on each of the poles offers intelligent lighting for the newly developed Kaptenens Park.
