The lively Rue Félix Faure is located right in the center of Cannes. The town coun­cil wanted to create here a socia­ble space with light­ing suit­able for busi­nesses and restau­rants in the area.

Light­ing always plays an impor­tant role in urban man­age­ment projects. To be part of the over­all project, it is impor­tant that it blends in per­fectly. Choice of mate­ri­als, in terms of style and func­tion is key to this.

The goal of the town coun­cil was to have a multi-func­tional light column for the light­ing on the Rue Félix Faure where addi­tional func­tions such as cam­eras, loud­speak­ers etc. could be added later on. They there­fore opted for our Lif light column, which com­prises dif­fer­ent mod­ules and is fully cus­tomis­able.

To make the light­ing both attrac­tive and orig­i­nal, the light­ing design agency for the project Agence Lumière came up with a bark design that sur­rounds the base of the column only. The bark is back­lit, which suc­cess­fully empha­sises the socia­ble nature of this lively street in Cannes.
