Lif bark
Cannes, France
The lively Rue Félix Faure is located right in the center of Cannes. The town council wanted to create here a sociable space with lighting suitable for businesses and restaurants in the area.
Lighting always plays an important role in urban management projects. To be part of the overall project, it is important that it blends in perfectly. Choice of materials, in terms of style and function is key to this.
The goal of the town council was to have a multi-functional light column for the lighting on the Rue Félix Faure where additional functions such as cameras, loudspeakers etc. could be added later on. They therefore opted for our Lif light column, which comprises different modules and is fully customisable.
To make the lighting both attractive and original, the lighting design agency for the project Agence Lumière came up with a bark design that surrounds the base of the column only. The bark is backlit, which successfully emphasises the sociable nature of this lively street in Cannes.
